WILLOW SPRINGS

About an hour north of Los Angeles, Willow Springs is one of the most famous tracks in American motorsport, making it an easy choice to include it in SHIFT.

The main track at Willow Springs is about 2.5 miles long and hasn’t been changed one inch since opening in 1953. After efforts of the local racing community, it was designated a California Point of Historical Interest in 1996.

Be wary of Willow Springs in SHIFT, as the elevation changes several times during your burn around its nine corners, with numbers 3 and 4, known as ‘The Omega’, being the most difficult to traverse.

Chris Rado, a collaborator in the making of SHIFT, holds the track record for the fastest FWD Unlimited lap, at one minute, 27 seconds in his famous Scion tC. The overall track record is held by former CART driver Michael Andretti, who blew around the track in a mere 66 seconds back in 1987.
