MASERATI MC12
A fixture in FIA GT, Italian GT, Super GT and American Le Mans Series races, the Maserati MC12 is as close to a true supercar that you’ll find in SHIFT.
Pumping out 624 horsepower from its 6-liter V12, the MC12 is actually based heavily on the extremely limited-edition Ferrari Enzo.
The MC12 was originally conceived when Maserati was a division of Ferrari with the two cars sharing an engine, chassis and track (axle length between the wheels). It was originally tested by SHIFT collaborator Andrea Bertolini, a championship racecar driver on the FIA GT circuit.
While the MC12 may cost around $1 million to buy, don’t expect any of the luxuries that usually come with that kind of price tag, as the car has no radio or rear window.
But why would you need a radio when the sweetest sounds of all come from the engine?
