Weighing in at less than 2,000 pounds, the Lotus Elise 111-R, arguably the finest car ever produced by the venerable British automaker, is a perfect mix of everyday road drivability and track-caliber grunt.

The 111-R, a special edition that packs 220 horsepower per ton is more than 1,000 pounds lighter than the Scion tC but goes around corners like it’s on rails.

It’s not all about weight with the 111-R, though. It runs 0-60 in less than five seconds, with its 1.8-liter engine married to a flawless six-speed Toyota gearbox that redlines at 8,200 RPM. The Elise was featured in several other NFS games and returns in SHIFT.
