Much like the Ford Focus, it may seem odd to North Americans to see a Ford Escort in SHIFT, but the 1996 Escort Cosworth only shares a name with its American cousin.

The RS Cosworth was a limited production vehicle for Ford, only building 7,100 of the cars from 1992-96, but it became Ford’s top rally racer, taking home several wins during its time playing around in the mud.

Its engine is a turbocharged 2-liter engine that in stock form produces 227 horsepower, with some enthusiastic tuners able to crank its output to over 1,000 ponies.
