BMW M3 E92
As the first M3 to feature a V8 engine, the E92 set a new performance benchmark for the company that bills its cars as the ultimate driving machines.
The E92 continues in the tradition of outstanding performance for the ‘M’ line, kicking out 414 horsepower from its 4.0-liter V8. This is an increase in power of more than 20 percent from the E46.
Racing teams have taken notice of the E92’s improvements as well, with American Le Mans Series team Rahal Letterman Racing – the team of SHIFT contributor Tommy Milner – buying two factory-backed M3s for their 2009 season.
