2010 Falken Tire Ford Mustang GT

As the first person to pilot a non-Japanese made vehicle to victory in a D1 drifting event, Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s Ford Mustang GT has become a sought-after car for drift racing.

Gittin hollows out his Mustang, which is a standard 4.6-liter GT, but with an added twist: a Ford Racing supercharger. The front passenger seat is taken out, everything that adds extra weight is removed to make it the best drift car it can be.

The body panels of JR’s Mustang are made entirely of dry carbon, significantly cutting down on its weight. His tires, one of the most important parts of a drift car, are 255/40-18 Azenis RT615’s in the front and back.
